About Dr. Christine (and some testimonials!)

Christine Grisham, DACM, Dipl. OM., L.Ac. is a graduate of the Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine, and Certified Massage Therapy program at the Pacific College of Health and Science (formerly PCOM) in San Diego.

Dr. Christine specializes in treating autoimmune and other chronic diseases, depression and anxiety, grief and trauma, addiction, chronic pain, and women's health. She works with every person seeking her care by honoring the myriad experiences of those walking through her office door, including BIPOC individuals, those identifying as LGBTQIA+, and other traditionally disenfranchised communities. She is passionate about creating a more just and equitable world for all people.

Christine has worked at several clinical locations since her graduation, including an outpatient treatment program for mental health and addiction, two clinics serving low-income and indigenous people, and her own private practices. She is also an adjunct faculty member at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN, where she formerly taught clinical interns at DeRusha Clinic and is currently the professor for the Medical Law & Ethics course

During her time at Pacific, Christine participated in several exciting internships around San Diego:

On a personal level, during her time at Pacific, Christine was diagnosed with a thyroid autoimmune illness (AI). By combining TCM treatments with functional medicine, she successfully turned her health around. She was also treated in 2021 for endometrial cancer, and has utilized both Western allopathic and TCM treatments to heal. Both of these health challenges have taught her many lessons about how our medical systems can both help and fail us as consumers.

Christine also holds a Masters of Arts in Public Policy from the Humphrey Institute at the University of Minnesota, and a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology from DePaul University. Prior to working as an acupuncturist, Christine spent a decade working for various nonprofits in both Minnesota and Washington, D.C., advocating for low income-families, youth disconnected from work and school, and reproductive health rights.

When she isn't working, Christine enjoys hanging out at home with her cat Ramses and dog Bert, yoga classes, and exploring her new hometown of Springfield, Illinois.
